There was a really cool discount in my local beauty hell (that's how I call this shop).
But hey the only shop I know that has essence.
So here is what I bought :
-essence multi dimension 3 in 1 (61 Blue Lagoon)
-essence nail art twins glitter topper (04 carrie)
-essence nail art pen (02 cool black,01 spacy pink,03 silver star)
-beauty line cosmetics nail art pen and brush ( 013,018)
-essence 6 in 1 profi file


I am going to try those out!Just tried a bit of the beauty line stuff.Don't know the brand at all.....
But those nail art pen/brush remind me of a set I saw on ebay.......
They are fabulous for dotting.

Chocolate bar Cupcake

Hellooo

This is a very easy and yummy recipe that is made with Oats ,Molasses and of course some chocolate bars.

You need:
150 gr whole wheat flour
100 gr rolled oats (old-fashioned oats,not the instant ones!)
100 gr sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
a dash of salt
2 eggs 
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
50 gr black molasses
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons cacao powder (not the instant one)
200 gr butter room temperature
100 ml milk
4 snickers bars
12 liners



Freeze the snickers bars 1 hour before you start baking your cake.Chop them into medium-small chunks.
Mix all ingredients with a balloon whisk (good arm-workout! ) and fill it in the liners.
Bake at 180 degree celsius for 20-25 min (put a toothpick in the middle of the cake,pull it out,and when it comes out clean,the cupcake is done)

Frost with your favorite frosting.
I used some icing sugar and water,plus a small piece snickers

My big fat Greek Sandwich

Hello *nom*nom*

My hubby came home today with the brightest smile on his face and the biggest Sandwiches I have ever seen.
I know I promised I would cook my potato-babies,but how could I say no to such a sandwich.
It had :
Cheese
Burger patty
Tomato
Cucumber
Salami
Egg
Mayo

I managed to eat 1/3 and then I was ready to explode.
This sandwich wasn't even 'dirty' low quality street food.The ingredients were all super fresh!
And it costs 3 Euro!!!!
The Sandwich place is located in Varh ( Βάρη ) and is named Popeye.

Tip of the day : mosquito prevention

Mosquitos love sweet smells.So if you wear a body lotion or a perfume with a sweet,fruity or flowery smell,they are more likely to be attracted to you.
So make sure you take a shower or remove perfume with a make up wipe.

Dear chocolate zombies!

Although it is hot outside I had this craving for my favorite hot chocolate drink ever.It oozes chocolate and it is not suitable for those who count calories!It smells and tastes so good,that you will forget your heartache/soulache/pms-moodswings.

You need :
150 ml milk
50 ml heavy cream
1-2 tablespoons sugar
1 drop vanilla extract
a dash of salt (tiny dash)
a dash of chili (tiny dash)
1 tablespoon cacao powder (not the sweetened or instant one)
a tiny dash of ground clove
1 teaspoon nutella
1 teaspoon chocolate syrup/chocolate sauce
whip cream spray or milk foam
ground cinnamon for the topping


Bring milk and heavy cream to a boil,while constantly whisking add sugar,vanilla,salt,chili,cacao powder,clove and nutella.Remove from the heat and pour into a mug.Add whipped cream or milk foam on top and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Drink it,smell it enjoy it

Dear potato thief!

Wow,I can't believe what happened.I had planted a few french gourmet  potatoes which were almost ready to be harvested (1 week left).So when I went to check on the potato-babies today I was in sheer and utter shock.
Some thief climbed the fence and dug out almost all of my pretty babies.*snifff*.

So dear potato thief!

I will kick your potato thief ass if you dare to touch my honeydew melons,Jalapenos,Habanero chili or anything else in my little garden.

And if I have to beat your potato thief face with a heavy duty pan....I don't care.

There are supermarkets and farmers markets to buy potatoes from.

I don't care if you were hungry or in urgent need of french gourmet potatoes!

Oh and by the way,you also trampled on 2 other plants.

I will keep my eyes open for you! 

All I have are those three potatoes that the thief forgot to take.*sigh*
And I will cook them! Because I planted them,watered them everyday and fertilized them!

Essence multi dimension 3 in 1 nail polish review

This nail polish is really good.I owe several colors and I am really happy with the results.

The packaging : Essence multi dimension 3 in 1 nail polish comes in a glass bottle with a silver plastic lid.
It contains 0.2 fl.oz / 8 ml


What it promises: "ultra elastic,long-lasting,extra caring,with XXXL shine" (Source: Bottle)

My opinion : This polish really lasts long,and if you wear it with a proper base and top coat it won't chip.The xxxl shine unfortunately doesn't last very long if you don't use a top coat.
It is really really elastic unlike a lot of other polishes that start chipping and peeling off after 2-3 days.
The application is easy,because the polish is not too runny and not too gooey.The brush could be better ,because you have no control how much or how little product is picked up by the brush.
If you apply one coat,you might not get 100% coverage,although if you apply a thicker coat it covers perfectly.
The only bad thing I noticed,is that the black ( No 20 fatal) dries out very quickly.But storing it in the fridge will prevent this.
My first bottle dried after 3 months and I had to buy a special nail polish thinner to make this usable again.
But bottle number two was stored in the fridge and there were no problems whatsoever.
I don't think that it is extra caring though.....
The nail polish could dry a bit better,but it is ok.Usually it takes 20 min for it to fully dry when wearing a thick coat.

Compared to a waaaaay more expensive black polish from Dior (No I would never buy a nailpolish that expensive.It was a gift!) the essence multi dimension is just a superstar and worth every cent (2,55 Euro).

I was really bored some time ago and I started to "paint" those weird tree-ish-hell-fire-things with only 1 tool in photoshop.The smudge tool :D

What do you do when your level of boredom is way too high?

I get frustrated in this state.My brain is held hostage by the boredom monster.That doesn't happen often,but when that happens I would love to kick that boredom's monster's butt.

Tip of the day : Optical teeth whitening

If you want your teeth to appear whiter,apply a lipstick/lip gloss color that contains some kind of blue hint.Mauve ,pink with blue shimmer or even when wearing black lipstick you can add some blue to make your teeth whiter.

Well....those nails were supposed to be little cute Anime Ghosts.They kind of turned out very happy for a ghost.
Epic failure I guess,but so what,it is still wearable and kind of cute if you forget the fact,that I am a Goth *LOL*

You need:
base coat/top coat
black polish
purple shimmer polish
white polish
orange polish
yellow polish
dotting tool

thin nail art brush

First of all you apply your base coat *dry*Then you apply black all over your nail *dry*.After that you apply some purple stripes with the thin nail art brush *dry*
Pick some white polish up with a dotting tool and draw a circle *dry well*.
Now take your nail art brush again and draw three yellow stripes above the head.With the orange polish and a dotting tool draw the cheeks.To finish it off add eyes and mouth with a thin nail art brush.*dry well*

Apply a top coat and *dry*

Tip of the day : Burned food in pots and pans

When you have seriously burned some food,you know how much effort it takes to clean the bottom of the pans again.Take some biological washing powder (5-6 tablespoons),put them in the pot or ban and add 1 cup of very hot water.Let it sit overnight and empty the content in the toilet.Wash it with a sponge.
Rinse your pot or pan very very very very very very very well.

Super dramatic Gothic cat eye make up

So today I decided,that I want some serious drama involved in my eye make up.
This look can also be worn for Halloween if you wanna dress up like a Vampire or Goth.

You need:
White shimmer eyeshadow
Silver or gray shimmer eyeshadow
black eyeshadow
liquid waterproof black eyeliner
smudge proof black eye pencil
lots of mascara
eye primer

First of all prime your entire upper and lower lid,also don't forget the area where the huge wing will be.
Start with white shimmer eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eyes.Then apply the silver or gray until the middle of your upper lid.Blend the white and the silver together.Now you apply black eyeshadow on the outer half of your lid.With a small pencil smudge the black into a dramatic wing shape and also blend it on the outer third of your crease.Blend Blend Blend your colors together.Intensify the look by applying black liquid eyeliner on top of your lid,but also below the tear duct to get that fierce cat eye complete.
Line your lower lash line and waterline thickly with a smudge proof eye pencil in black.Apply false lashes or if you are not comfortable with falsies like me,apply two coats of mascara.

Tip of the day : Plastic lids

You can re-use a lot of plastic lids from jars that you throw away.(Pringles,Nutella,Mustard etc)...
How to use them? If you cut a lemon/orange/peach etc in half and you want to keep the other half for later,cover the cut with a matching lid and the fruit  will stay fresh

Honeydew melon flower

Isn't this a cute flower?
They are really easy to grow.I threw some seeds from a honeydew I ate in a flower pot  and 2 months later there was a whole bunch of honeydew plants.

Healthy Asian style veggies with steamed salmon

Konichiwa everybody

This recipe is super quick,easy and you just need one pot to cook.
You need:
1 large carrot (sliced)
1 red bell pepper (sliced)
2 spring onions (sliced)
some frozen mixed veggies (Asian style would be great)
200 gr noodles (I used whole wheat Chinese Noodles)
1 fillet of salmon (diced)
chilly powder,curry powder,salt pepper

I a medium pot bring 2 liters of water to a boil and season the water.Drop the veggies in the pot and let the salmon steam on top of the pot (A slotted spoon serves as the steaming gadget *lol).Once the veggies are al dente and the salmon is cooked.Take the slotted spoon and scoop out the veggies and set aside.
Now boil your noodles in the same pot and drain them.Mix together the noodles with the veggies and season with chilly,curry,salt and pepper.
To spice the salmon up a bit,you can drizzle it with some soy sauce.

And that's about it.It took me 15 min to cook that dish.Cheap,fun and healthy.

Tip of the day : Stinky hands

If your hands have quite some odor to them after chopping onions,garlic or after handling fresh fish,use toothpaste.A small teaspoon of toothpaste and some soap will do the miracle.Simply massage it on your hands,let it set for 1 minute and rinse off with a lot of water.Moisturize your hands after and nobody will notice you just chopped a load of garlic.

Essence sos nail care balm review

Hola chicas!

I was testing this stuff for 1 month now and it works really well.

Packaging : Essence Sos nail care balm comes in a plastic jar with a white lid and pink letters.It contains 0.24 oz
/7 g

The product : The product is a light pink mousse like balm that reminds you a bit of strawberry yogurt when you look at it.It smells really natural and reminds me a bit of baby-butt-cream.

What it promises: " The ultimate treatment for your nails! This balm provides dry cuticles and brittle nails with moisture and care " (Source : Product sticker)
It contains shea butter,almond oil and panthenol  which are supposed to nourish and care for the nails and also these ingredients stimulate the growth of the nail (Source: German essence website)


My 2 cents: I am amazed by this little white pinkish stuff.You apply it to your nails and massage the product in.The skin/cuticles absorb the product really quickly.It doesn't leave any greasy residue on the nails which is a big plus.I hydrate my cuticles 3 times a day.....morning and evening with essence nail care balm and in the afternoon with olive oil or vitamin e oil.
Usually when my nails on the right hand reach a certain length they tear very easy.Especially the middle finger.
Since I have been using the essence balm I am waiting for my nail to tear,but it seems like they won't tear or rip even after several chores.
The only bad thing about this product is,the pot is quite deep and you usually kind of poke a hole in it with your nail.And you get all the product stuck in the back of your nail.
I solved the issue by cutting a q-tip so it will fit inside the jar.

Overall I am very happy.Great value for a great price (3,04 Euro)

It does everything I want from a nail balm.

Red black Gothic Make up

Howdy!
So I bought this intense red-ish  eyeshadow some while ago.And I had lost it and never used it.So I was re organizing my purse today and  what did I find in the "random medicine" pocket of my purse? Yes right the eyeshadow.
Of course I had to try it out.*yay*

This make up look is just red and black with a base and black eyeliner on top lash line and bottom lash line.I also added a cat eye wing and some fun random dots.There is also some red on the bottom lash line to make the look more "undead"

If you have a sunburn there are multiple things you can do to help your skin renew and of course to ease the pain.
Mix one part aloe vera gel with one part of plain yogurt and apply it to the burned areas.Once the yogurt has dried take a lukewarm shower to wash it off and apply pure aloe vera gel.

Sauce Bearnaise

Usually I make my own recipe,but with sauce Bearnaise there is no room for experimenting unfortunately.

DIY Button pin (jewelery recycling)

I love adding custom things to my outfit and I needed something to match my sparkling earrings.
So I had this stupid supermarket button pin that was useless.So I did what a glitter junkie would do to get his daily fix.I applied some blue nail polish all over the button,then I dipped it into blue glitter then I sprayed it with two coats of clear spray varnish and painted a weird smiley with a toothpick and black nail polish on it and sprayed it again.

Old fashioned lemon cake

This is a recipe from my Grandma and it was my favorite cake when I was a small.I still love the smell of this cake and it almost makes me nostalgic.When my grandma baked this cake she always left some dough in the bowl so I could eat it.Of course my tummy would hurt every time,but I was so in love with the taste of this.

You need:
200 gr Butter (room temperature)
200 gr sugar
1 lemon  (zested and juiced)
4 eggs
90 gr corn starch
3 teaspoons baking powder
200 gr flour
100 ml buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 package vanilla sugar

for the frosting :
200 gr icing sugar
4 tablespoons lemon juice


Mix the cake ingredients together with a balloon whisk and chill for 30 min.Bake the cake in a an old fashioned tubed cake mold.Bake for 20-30 min at medium high temperature.To test if the cake is ready pierce it with a bamboo skewer and pull the bamboo skewer out.If the skewer comes out very clean that means your cake is ready.

When the cake has cooled for 15 min,you can frost it.Combine icing sugar and lemon juice until you have a thick,white runny,but not too liquid texture.Spread the frosting on the top of the cake.If you want you can sieve some extra icing sugar on top when the frosting has almost dried.

I baked the cake in the late afternoon and I was not sure if the pictures would come out well.So I cut a slice,frosted it and literally ran outside to catch the last sunlight.That's why there is frosting all over the plate *xixixix*

Bifteki roulade with amazing potato mash

Hello Hello

Sorry for not posting any recipes the last days.I was eating very unhealthy junk food from different well know junk food places.
This recipe blew me away.It was once again a experiment which turned out great.The bifteki (beefsteak in English) is baked on a bed of potato dice which are later mashed.And all the yummy juices infuse the potato mash with a wonderful light taste of the Mediterranean herbs and the Feta cheese.

For the Bifteki roulade you need
400 gr ground beef
150 gr Feta cheese
1 egg
1 tablespoon of cream cheese
a few slices of leeks
1 teaspoon oregano (split in half)
a pinch ground rosemary
1/2 teaspoon of thyme
 pepper salt
aluminum foil

for the mash you need
1 small sweet potato (diced into 1/3 inch size)
2 medium potatoes (diced like the above)
50 ml milk
25 gr butter
1 tablespoon chopped chives
pepper salt ground nutmeg


First of all you want to prepare the filling.Crumble the feta and add the creamcheese and the leeks.Next you add one egg yolk.Add the herbs and season,but be careful with the salt.Feta is quite salty by nature.
Now season the ground beef with pepper salt and oregano,add the egg white.Spread a large piece of aluminum foil on your work space and place the ground beef on top.Spread the ground beef with a rolling pin until it is 1/3 inch thick and has a rectangular shape.
Spread the filling and roll it up with the help of the aluminum foil.Set aside

Boil your potato and sweet potato dice for 7 min.Drain the water and spread the potatoes in an oven proof deep dish.Put the bifteki roulade on top.Bake for 20-30 min.
After you are done baking mash the potatoes with milk,butter,chives and season with pepper salt and nutmeg.

Tip of the day : Celery juice facial

For a quick revitalizing face mask cut a stalk of fresh(!!!!!!) celery and gently move the cut part around your face in circular motions.Wash with water after 5 minutes and apply moisturizer.It reduces puffiness and redness and it also hydrates and nourishes the skin in a wonderful way.Another way to use celery is by mixing 2 parts oatmeal with 1 part celery and 1 part yogurt and blend it in a blender.This works as a scrub-mask.

Tip of the day : Battle insomnia

If you have trouble falling asleep there is a cure in your kitchen.You need one glass of milk,1 tablespoon honey,a pinch of cinnamon,a pinch of ground nut meg and some ground star anise.Heat the ingredients in a saucepan or in a microwave safe mug.Don't bring to a boil.Stir well and drink in small sips.

Today was nail design practice ,because I am doing a Lady's nails tomorrow.I can't tell you how excited I am.I will do it 4 free,since I am not a professional.
She wants a french tip with some fancy glitter lines and rhinestones.
So I wanted to practice doing lines.You can use whatever colors you like!

Tip of the day : Long lasting line free lipstick

Especially when you wear bright lip colors there is nothing worse than the fine lines of the lips being accentuated.Simply apply some translucent powder to your lips and then apply the lip stick.It will last longer and the fine lines and wrinkles dissapear

Iridescent fairy nail art

Hello dollies!

This nail tutorial was actually an experiment.I adore Glitter as you all know and in order to achieve a 100% Glitter covered nail you need like 10 coats of glitter polish.
So I decided I will work on turning my nails into a living iridescent disco ball.

You need :
Gray polish
glitter
a eyeshadow brush/paint brush
Top coat

Simply paint your nail with the gray and while the polish is still wet,pick up some glitter with the paint brush and apply it over the nail.Brush/blow away the excess glitter and let the nails dry.Apply some top coat and you have amaziiiiiiing nails that sparkle in the sun without applying 10 coats of glitter polish.
You can also do a french tip.

Essence anti-spot moisturizer revisited

Hi Dolls.

And this stuff is amazing.
I found a new use for it.After shave cream :D My skin tends to get really mad at me if I shave my legs with quick motions.And since the essence anti-spot moisturizer is soothing,I tried it on my legs.Wow !

Fish soup Asian style

Hai!

This soup is easy,healthy and just sooo yummy.It can be done in 1000000 different ways.I don't claim this is authentic Asian food,it happens to have a lot of Asian ingredients .

You need:
2 liters fish stock
1 small sweet potato (diced)
2 carrots (diced)
1 spring onion (diced)
1 mug frozen mixed veggies (I chose Asian veggies)
3 blue shark fillets or cat fish fillets (cut into chunks)
a few cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
2 sachets red miso soup paste
5 tablespoons thai basil (chopped)
5 tablespoons parsley (chopped)
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or sake
3 tablespoons soy sauce
a hand full of noodles 
3 tablespoons sesame seed oil.
1/2 teaspoon chilly powder
pepper salt

Bring the fish stock to a boil and add all ingredients except from the noodles.Simmer at medium heat for 30 min-45 min.If the stock evaporates too quickly,add some water and season if needed.
The advantage of blue shark is,that it kinda dissolves which gives a wonderful texture to the soup..
At the end add the noodles and boil them for 2-3 min.

Done :)

I really enjoyed this soup and I ate two bowls of it.

Tip of the day : Fly trap

Flies are so annoying especially in the kitchen.A good way to get rid of those little nasty creatures is making your own fly trap.
You need :
50 ml apple cider vinegar or any other fruit vinegar
1 drop of dish washing liquid
a jar
cling film/plastic wrap
rubber band

Take your jar and mix the vinegar and the washing up liquid by stirring softly.Cover the jar with cling film and stabilize it with a rubber band.Poke some holes in the cling film and place it near a window.
The flies will think :" Yuuummy rotten fruit!" and they will climb into the trap and die.

Brush cleaning 101

Well Well Well I still can't believe that some people never clean their make up brushes! Jesus I mean don't they realize that they are applying bacteria to their face together with their make up???
It is so important to clean your brushes at least once a week and spot-clean them after every use.
For your homemade brush cleaner you need :
1 teaspoon baby shampoo
1/2 teaspoon dish washing soap
1 teaspoon conditioner
1 teaspoon alcohol free hand sanitizer

Mix those together and fill it in a little jar.
To clean your brushes take a little of your brush cleaner in your palm and swirl the brush in it without applying any pressure.Rinse with water and gently push out the excess water.
Drying the brushes in a proper way is the most important part.Never dry your brushes in a horizontal position,because the water will go inside the brush and make the glue ,which holds the bristles, rot.Take something that will support the back of the brushes and let them dry as shown in the picture.

To spot clean your brushes you can use water and some hand sanitizer.Dry the brush with a kitchen towel or toilet paper.

And remember!

Throw make up sponges away after every use.Or at least wash it with your brush cleaner

Don't use that little sponge that comes with your compact powder or cream foundation over and over!

Don't share make up applicators of any kind with friends!

Especially if you have acne prone skin or you tend to break out easily,KEEP YOUR MAKE UP BRUSHES CLEAN!

Green Eye make up

Hi dolls!
Today was one of those days again.....I wanted some colorful make up.And I got this beautiful eye shadow pallet with greens,blues and iridescent colors that I needed to try.

I used a silver shimmer eye shadow base to bring out the colors even more.
You need :
Green eyeshadow
olive green eyeshadow
dark blue eyeshadow
black eyeshadow
blue eyeliner pencil
liquid black eyeliner

Apply the green on the inner half of the lid and apply the dark blue on the outer half.Blend the colors together.
Use the olive green on your upper crease and the black on the outer V.
Line your upper lash line with black liquid eyeliner.
Apply the blue on the bottom lash line (inner half) and the green on the outer half.
Draw a cat eye with the blue eyeliner pencil and also apply it to your waterline.Some mascara and you are done.

Tip of the day : Smelly Ashtrays

If you ever had smokers over or even if you smoke yourself,you know how bad an ashtray smells.Just put 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate soda in the ashtray.The Soda helps to 'kill' the cigarette and it prevents the bad smell from sticking to the ashtray

DIY Gothic Choker ( The rebirth)

This is what it looks like now :D

I used a chain that broke and stitched it to the back of the choker.And I took this giant Rhinestone that was attached to a ridiculous butterfly-window-decoration thing that was given to me by a weird old lady.
I wasn't quite happy with the result,so I stitched some silver pearls around it.

Yay! Being Goth means embracing the DIY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jewelery recycling

I bet you have been through this.You got a piece of jewelery and it has turned black,because it was no real silver.
So did my earrings.I first painted them with a silver nail polish,but then I thought about my favorite thing in the whole world: Glitter
I don't know why I love Glitter that much,but sometimes I wish there was edible glitter.
So here is what I did :
I took my earrings and applied a coat of cheap clear nail polish.Then I dipped it into blue Glitter.After I applied a coat of clear spray varnish and I let them dry in a hanging position for 3 hours.And I am soooooooo happy about the result.What a pity that photography can't capture the real beauty of Glitter.

Vegan Vanilla Pudding

My sweet tooth was calling just 20 min ago.I wanted to make my favorite pudding.Vegan pudding.Although I am not a vegan,I loooooove the vegan pudding to death.The most simple things are often the best.No fancy decor.....just me and a good old bowl of pudding <3

You need:
400 ml Soy milk Vanilla flavor
100 gr brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cognac (When children are eating,skip this one!!!)
2 tablespoons corn starch
a tiny pinch of salt

Put 50 ml of the soy milk in a glass and mix it with the corn starch.Bring the rest of the soy milk to a boil in a saucepan and add sugar,cognac and vanilla extract.Once it boils add the soy milk-cornstarch mixture little by little and stir constantly.Don't add it all at once,so you have control over the consistency.You are looking for a creamy consistency that is not too firm but not too runny.Add a pinch of salt at the end and stir again.
Remove from the fire and enjoy.
If you don't like skin on your pudding take some plastic wrap/cling film and put it on top of the pudding while it cools.

Salmon with Spinach and cream cheese topping

Hi Guys!

First of all I wanted to welcome all the new Followers that have joined the CookingChinchillas Blog.I am preparing a contest for all of you with a really cool price .

This recipe was a request from Malika.She was asking what she can do with spinach and salmon apart from the classic spinach-salmon pasta.There you go Girl!

You need :
One salmon fillet
a hand full (or two) baby spinach
2 generous tablespoons of cream cheese
1 tablespoon grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 clove garlic (crushed)
pepper salt nutmeg
lemon slices

Wash your salmon fillet and dry it with a kitchen towel.Season it with pepper and salt.
In a small saucepan mix spinach,cream cheese,garlic,pepper salt and nutmeg.Saute on high heat for one minute. then add the grated mozzarella.Place your salmon in a small oven proof dish and surround it with lemon slices.Carefully spread the topping on the salmon.
Bake at high temperature for 12-15 min depending on the size of the fillet.
The rice bed is just some rice boiled in water seasoned with turmeric and mixed frozen veggies oriental style.

Tip of the day : Clean up broken Glasses/Bottles

We all have lived this before.When you have guests over a full glass falls down and it is a pain in the butt to clean up shattered glass and liquid.If you have cat litter or rodent bedding in the house,you are saved.Just pour some cat litter on the mess and it will soak up all liquid and you are able to clean it with a small broom and a dustpan.This also works for vomit,pet pee,oil spills and all sorts of things that are difficult to clean up

Pink and silver criss cross nail art

Hi
This nail art is simple yet very elegant and fun.
You need :
Light pink/baby pink polish
hot pink polish
eggplant polish
silver polish
blue polish
nail art brush,dotting tool,make up sponge


Apply your base coat as usual and apply the light pink color all over the nail Then your are going to do the fade effect with the hot pink and the eggplant color as explained in this http://cookingchinchillas.blogspot.com/2010/07/fade-effect-nails.html post.
Now take your nail art brush and start drawing diagonal lines to create a check pattern.
Pick some blue color up with your nail dotting tool and place a dot on each point that the silver lines cross each other.
Apply a top coat and you are done.
