Inspired by the beautiful weather and the stunning smells of blossoming lemon trees in the summer I wanted to give my basic cookie recipe a summery touch.
You need:
200 gr Butter or Margarine (room temperature)
100 gr corn starch
100 gr whole grain flour
225 gr all purpose flour
150 gr sugar
50 gr brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
the zest of one lemon
1 egg
powder sugar
Combine the dry ingredients
Knead in the butter and eggs with your hands.
Press out little shapes of your choice and bake for 10-15 min at medium high temperature (180 Celsius)
Dust the cookies with powder sugar while they are still hot.
And yes,the pretty flower in the picture is real and from my garden.
