DIY 2 in 1 Lipstick and cream blush

Hi dollies

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, but I was caught up in negative thoughts and listless apathy.
I went through my lipstick drawer and found  a poor crappy lipstick palette which I rarely use because the colors are a little on the senior citizen side.So I thought "lets scoop out all the colors, melt them and turn them into a 2 in 1 product"
I ended up using 3 of the 5 colors : a very flashy pink,a weird purple and a tiiiny bit of bright red.
The purple had shimmer in it,which didn't mix too well with the other two colors, even after melting them two times.Well a little purple swirl doesn't hurt :) To give the lipstick some sort of moisturizing property I added a little cocoa butter and raw honey, which really enhanced the smell and flavor of this DIY project.
The result is quite good, especially as a cream blush it works like a charm. On the lips it lasts for about 3 hours with no eating or making out.

Huge swatch :D

Woohooo 300 followers! Now that cheered me up big times.
Have you been making any DIY cosmetics lately?
If you could wish for the perfect lipstick, what color/texture/finish would it be?

Hope you all have a fabulous day!!!!

Quick 5 minute eye make up with olive and black

Hi dolls

I was slightly in a hurry this morning,so I just took a olive-brownish eyeshadow and applied it all over the lid,tight-lined the eyes and smudged it.Mascara and I was ready to go.
It may not be the most innovative look, but it was quite nice and suitable for all activities today.A full-blown goth face is not the best choice for chores.
Products used :
Face : Missha perfect cover,Farmasi Concealer,DIY blush,Lovie powder (to set the concealer)
Eyes : Mac sumptuous olive, essence gel eyeliner,Essence multi action mascara, love palette white highlight.
Lips : Beautyline cosmetics ultra shine gloss in #08

I hope you had a nice weekend and that you are all safe from the hurricane.

Step by step smudged liner tutorial

Hi dolls

Sorry it took me a few days to do a tutorial on that look!
The finished look

Apply your foundation and concealer, prime the eyes and apply a light gray eyeshadow all over your eye up to the browbone.

Tightline the upper and lower waterline with an eye pencil. It doesn't have to be neat

Line the upper lashline, again to need to be neat or precise

Set the liner with a matte black eyeshadow and start smudging with a pencil brush

With a fluffy brush and a tiny bit of white eyeshadow blend out the edges of the liner,we don't want harsh lines. On the upper lid blend the shadow onto the main lid area.

Highlight the brow area with a white shimmery eyeshadow and darken the lower lashine with black eyeshadow and a pencil brush.Draw on your brows and apply lots of mascara or false lashes.

This is how it should look :)

If you want a tutorial for a look, just let me know dolls!

The look should take you about 5-10 minutes and of course you can always go for a less dramatic version by adding less black or simply by changing the color.I am sure it works with brown too.

Products used :
Face : Gosh Velvet touch primer,Farmasi Foundation stick,essence 16 h concealer,DIY pressed Powder
Eyes : Elf 100 palette (light gray) ,Erre due Luxury eye pencil (01),essence duo eyeshadow (12 newcomer),Lovie Waterproof mascara,Essence shimmer powder(highlight)

Hi dolls

The look is quick, because I just use light gray matte eyeshadow, black eyeshadow and an eye pencil.
Hope you like it dolls and in case you want to see a step by step tutorial for a make up look, please let me know!!

Beijing Opera inspired make up : Mao Ben

Hi dolls

Since my childhood I have been a huge fan of the Beijing Opera Masks. Each mask represents a certain type of person or characteristic.
Today's inspiration was Mao Ben's Mask http://www.paulnoll.com/China/Opera/opera-05-059.html Here you can see an example.

The look is just an inspirational version of the beautiful masks, because to make it authentic I should have painted my whole face.
But I believe that the opera masks in general are a great inspiration because the colors and shapes are just beyond beautiful.

Are you interested in more beijing opera mask inspired looks? Let me know in the comments.

Have a great Sunday dollies <3

Pink Purple elegant Gothic Makeup with eyeliner art

Hi dolls

Today's look is one of my favorite eyeshadow combinations for a colorful Gothic eye make up.The play between purple, pink and black is quite exciting .Lately I am really into warm colors on the lower lashline to give my eyes that fashionably dead look.Looking dead without looking ugly XD The black waterline helps quite a lot on the 'not ugly' part.
To make that look even more dramatic I added demi lashes.

Hope you like the look dear dolls

Purposely raccooned Mango Sorbet

Hi dolls

I was reading blogs all day yesterday and there was one entry that inspired me big times. The beautiful Peach from Just Peachy used this wonderful color that looked like Mango sorbet on her lid.I HAVE TO GET THAT COLOR!The Peach always has those rather unusual shades of a color, which are really lovely.

My little make up session was kind of an experiment.I wanted the lower lash line to look raccooned, but on purpose. You get the idea......

The picture is a little dark and blurry, but taking pictures with crutches is difficult.Hope you like it a little :)

Have a great day and be healthy!

Step by Step Yellow smokey Goth-Eye Tutorial

Hi dollies

It's time for a tutorial again! This time it's a very bright yellow smokey eye,but of course you may use your favorite colors and of course you don't have to paint your eye area with funny dots and stripes, that's totally up to you.

This is the finished look :
Meow!

Prime your eyes and use a white eyeshadow base (jumbo pencil, cream eyeshadow, grease paint)

Apply white eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eyes and blend it out following the funny red dots

Apply yellow eyeshadow on the middle of your lid.Don't blend yet

Add black eyeshadow to the outer V and crease.

With a clean fluffy brush blend the yellow into the white. In a windshield wiper motion blend out the black following the arrow.

Apply white eyeshadow following the dots on the left side.On the right side you see how to smooth the edges of the black eyeshadow.

Tightline your top and bottom waterline.
With a small brush set the eyeliner with black eyeshadow and smudge it around the lower lash line

Line your eyes with liquid liner and smooth out the lower lashline eyeshadow with a tiny bit of yellow eyeshadow

Wing your eyes, apply mascara, draw on your brows!

And if you want,go crazy with your eyeliner!

Electric blues and green

Hi dolls

Although I love dark crazy gothic make up most,I have to do something less black and colorful.
Too much darkness can drive you nuts sometimes,so a pop of color is always welcome once in a while. The blues from the Elf 100 palette are stunning,so they deserve to be showcased without eyeliner art.
Here is the look:

Hope you all had  great weekend!
Would you like to see any specific color combo?Lett me know

Brown neutral mineral eye makeup for daytime

Hi dolls

A friend send me some samples of mineral eyeshadow to test before she opens her online shop.
Most of the samples are neutral colors, but they are sooo easy to blend, which is a great feature for a mineral eyeshadow.
The look consists of 3 colors: a flesh tone for the inner corners,a brown-beige for the main lid,a dark chocolate brown for the crease and a hint of graphite for the outer V.
And I found a new way to conceal ugly blemishes *lol* : Turn the blemish into a beauty-mark with some black eyeliner.Haha, well not the conventional way to conceal a blemish, but why not??

My eyes are very red today, because I had a hell of a party yesterday with my partner and the pets.

Music is always the best inspiration for eye make ups,you just listen and go with the flow.Cradle of Filth's new album is great for doing make up...a nice mix of masculine, feminine, darkness and light.

Victorian Project : Victorian make up step by step

Hi dolls

My dear friend will start an awesome project: She wants to dress like a Victorian era Lady for 1 year.
And how could I not support an amazing project like this? The lovely Kitty asked me if I could do a very natural Victorian make up.
The finished eye look :)

So here is a step by step tutorial :

Apply a lot of concealer, because Victorian ladies don't like flaws!

Blend the concealer with a damp sponge

Apply the lightest foundation you have and set it with a light powder.

Use a red-ish blush and focus only on the apples of your cheeks.Use a little more than you usually would.Victorian ladies love a rosy glow on their cheeks.

Prime your eyes.Although our lovely Vic-Ladies didn't use eyeshadow ,you want to emphasize your eyes.

Choose a white/flesh colored eyeshadow and a light brown one

Apply the white eyeshadow in the inner corners and blend it following the fancy red dots

The brown shadow goes into the crease to create more depth .Again follow the dots :D
Tightline upper and lower waterline and smudge it with a pencil brush.Choose a dark gray or black eyeliner pencil.
Draw on bushy brows and apply mascara!

Use a rosy or carmine containing lipstick, but don't cake it on,you just want a wash of color.

And that is basically it :)

Good luck with the 1 year Victorian Lady project <3

Dramatic Neutrals

Hi dolls

I usually don't do my make up when I am furious, but I had to do my make up,because a make up artist with a crappy complexion and dark circles doesn't necessarily make a good impression.
So while the big fat Greek Family fight was going on,I did my make up *lol*
I wasn't involved in the fight but yelling and shouting is not nice to be around.
No need to say that I messed up the eyeliner wing,so I did multiple wings :D

Have a great peaceful Saturday Dolls!

Purple theme

Hi dolls

Gaaaah! Purple theme event.I like the color purple, but a purple dress code is a no go.I made a compromise with the host: Purple mani,Purple make up and a purple ribbon.

And while taking the make up pictures the phone started ringing......XD  The result is a funny blooper picture while trying to look at the display of the phone :D

Kind of scaaaary

Tomorrow I will go in an all black outfit and make up to recover from that purple overload that awaits me.

Off to purple hell :)

Human Machine Cybergoth Make up (Help,Alien invasion)

Hi dolls

Because the last look I uploaded was rather boring,I wanted to come up with something cool for today. The colors are resembling old metal and the eyeliner art is supposed to look like some alien-esque machine.
(Nooo I'm not high on LSD XD.....I had coffee and you know what coffee does to me)
To add some sort of elegance,I applied some demi-falsies.

Usually cybergoth make up is waaay brighter,I know that. But what if Aliens abduct a cybergoth to turn him into a machine???

Okay I should go and jog a bit to get my brain back to a non-hyper state.

Bright red statement lip

Hi dollies

This is my first lip-photo,so I feel a little insecure. My lips are not full and luscious but I don't really care.
When I have to do serious business I usually do a statement lip and just a very very minimal eye make up.
For a perfect red lip, apply concealer on your lips and around the mouth.Line your lips with a color similar to the lipstick you are using. Then apply the lipstick and gloss. To clean up any mess, you can use a concealer brush with some concealer and clean up any oopsies :)

Just make sure you don't have any lipstick on your teeth :P
