Quick 5 minute eye make up with olive and black

I was slightly in a hurry this morning,so I just took a olive-brownish eyeshadow and applied it all over the lid,tight-lined the eyes and smudged it.Mascara and I was ready to go.
It may not be the most innovative look,but it was quite nice and suitable for all activities today.A full-blown goth face is not the best choice for chores.

Products used :
Face : Missha perfect cover,Farmasi Concealer,DIY blush,Lovie powder (to set the concealer)
Eyes : Mac sumptuous olive,essence gel eyeliner,Essence multi action mascara,love palette white highlight.
Lips : Beautyline cosmetics ultra shine gloss in #08

Step by step smudged liner tutorial

Sorry it took me a few days to do a tutorial on that look!

The finished look

Apply your foundation and concealer,prime the eyes and apply a light gray eyeshadow all over your eye up to the browbone.

Tightline the upper and lower waterline with an eye pencil.It doesn't have to be neat

Line the upper lashline,again to need to be neat or precise

Set the liner with a matte black eyeshadow and start smudging with a pencil brush

With a fluffy brush and a tiny bit of white eyeshadow blend out the edges of the liner,we don't want harsh lines.On the upper lid blend the shadow onto the main lid area.

Highlight the brow area with a white shimmery eyeshadow and darken the lower lashine with black eyeshadow and a pencil brush.Draw on your brows and apply lots of mascara or false lashes.

The look should take you about 5-10 minutes and of course you can always go for a less dramatic version by adding less black or simply by changing the color.I am sure it works with brown too.

Normal?Smudged Eyeliner

Tomorrow is a big day and like I have said in the previous post,I have to look kind of normal.No eyeliner wings,no flashy shadows.
But nobody can prevent me from doing a dramatic eye make up!
The look is quick,because I just use light gray matte eyeshadow,black eyeshadow and an eye pencil.

Beijing Opera inspired make up : Mao Ben

Since my childhood I have been a huge fan of the Beijing Opera Masks.Each mask represents a certain type of person or characteristic.
Today's inspiration was Mao Ben's Mask http://www.paulnoll.com/China/Opera/opera-05-059.html Here you can see an example.

The look is just an inspirational version of the beautiful masks,because to make it authentic I should have painted my whole face.
But I believe that the opera masks in general are a great inspiration because the colors and shapes are just beyond beautiful.

Brown neutral mineral eye makeup for daytime

A friend send me some samples of mineral eyeshadow to test before she opens her online shop.
Most of the samples are neutral colors,but they are sooo easy to blend,which is a great feature for a mineral eyeshadow.
The look consists of 3 colors: a flesh tone for the inner corners,a brown-beige for the main lid,a dark chocolate brown for the crease and a hint of graphite for the outer V.
And I found a new way to conceal ugly blemishes *lol* : Turn the blemish into a beauty-mark with some black eyeliner.Haha,well not the conventional way to conceal a blemish,but why not??

My eyes are very red today,because I had a hell of a party yesterday with my partner and the pets.

Victorian Project : Victorian make up step by step

My dear friend will start an awesome project: She wants to dress like a Victorian era Lady for 1 year.
And how could I not support an amazing project like this? The lovely Kitty asked me if I could do a very natural Victorian make up.

The finished eye look :)

So here is a step by step tutorial :

Apply a lot of concealer,because Victorian ladies don't like flaws!

Blend the concealer with a damp sponge

Apply the lightest foundation you have and set it with a light powder.

Use a red-ish blush and focus only on the apples of your cheeks.Use a little more than you usually would.Victorian ladies love a rosy glow on their cheeks.

Prime your eyes.Although our lovely Vic-Ladies didn't use eyeshadow ,you want to emphasize your eyes.

Choose a white/flesh colored eyeshadow and a light brown one

Apply the white eyeshadow in the inner corners and blend it following the fancy red dots

The brown shadow goes into the crease to create more depth .Again follow the dots :D

Tightline upper and lower waterline and smudge it with a pencil brush.Choose a dark gray or black eyeliner pencil.

Draw on bushy brows and apply mascara!

Use a rosy or carmine containing lipstick,but don't cake it on,you just want a wash of color.

And that is basically it :)

Dramatic Neutrals

I usually don't do my make up when I am furious,but I had to do my make up,because a make up artist with a crappy complexion and dark circles doesn't necessarily make a good impression.
So while the big fat Greek Family fight was going on,I did my make up *lol*
I wasn't involved in the fight but yelling and shouting is not nice to be around.
No need to say that I messed up the eyeliner wing,so I did multiple wings :D

I am soooooo going to chow down a whole chocolate bar right now.

Mutet yet intense Gothic eye make up

This look is quite simple yet very intense and dramatic.The key to this look without any harsh lines is blending.
First you gotta line both waterlines with a gel eyeliner and immediately set the liner with black eyeshadow.Smudge and blend the liner with black eyeshadow.To finish it off blend the edges with white eyeshadow.

It took like 10 minutes to create this look.

Extravagant seductive Gothic Vampire make up [Request]

My dear reader Jasmine asked for a seductive vampire make up a la Michelle Phan.I personally liked the tutorial Michelle did,but yeah it wasn't Goth enough for my taste.It looked more like a sleep deprived Mall-Goth tutorial to me :D

So here is my version :
Muted purples to get that dead look around the eye,some reds to balance out the smokey black.The eyeliner art is smudgy because after sleeping 100 years in a coffin the make up will probably smudge and crease,right?

The elf 100 palette really made me fall in love with neutrals,because before the palette I couldn't find the right shade of brown.
Now I shall lay down on my sunbed and sip some ice tea :)

Quick silver black smokey eye

This look is just a basic black and silver smokey eye with a little quick eyeliner art.
Today I had special visitors <3 so I wanted to look my best.
And this smokey eye works really well under pressure :D

Simple black smokey eye (Or the D in Darkness)

This make up is a statement,because we will have a very religious handy man coming to our house,who doesn't miss an opportunity to bust our nerves with his religious preaching.
I respect all religions,no question,but I also expect that religious people respect my non existing faith in god.
The last time he was here,he clearly overdid it.
So I am making a dark statement today:
-Leather skirt: Check
-Studded belt and spiked collar: Check
-Black eye make up : Check
-Black Sabbath T-shirt: Check
-Atheist Mindset : Check

Quick neutral dramatic daytime look w/demi-lashes

I'm doing neutrals....again!
Since Natalie send me the Elf 100 palette,I have discovered neutrals for myself.Before I always tried rusty browns or neutrals with a too warm undertone,which doesn't  work that well.
Today's look is a simple 3 colored look with white,a light beige and black.To make the look more dramatic I tightlined the eyes with gel eyeliner,which was set with black eyeshadow.The lower and upper lash line-eyeliner is a gel eyeliner,that has been smudged.
For the last kick of drama some mascara and demi-lashes.
The demi-lashes are actually a old pair of spike lashes cut in half.Their lash band was a little too stiff for my taste,so I transformed them.

Black Gothic eye make up

Hi dolls,

There are days when you just wanna be left alone.On those days I choose an extra black eye make up,so random people don't talk to me.Like some tribes paint their faces to scare their enemies during a battle,I choose the same method.
Till now it worked :D

Grey Black Dramatic Gothic Eye Make Up

*Yaaay* Blogger is back to life! Awesome job!

Today was one of those days where I couldn't decide the what colors to pick....and since my favorite colors are greys and blacks,(which technically aren't colors),I went with something safe and polished.
I really focused on blending,so only the lines made with the eyeliner stand out.
The eyeliner art for today is really nothing special.Just wanted to make sure the look was Goth enough :D

Quick neutral pin up eye

I think I found a new favorite thing: Focus more on the skin and keep the eye neutral,yet goth.
A stunning complexion with the right amount of highlights,not too matte and not too dewy, a hint of blush and proper contouring is something really cool.
So I kept the eye simple and used just two eyeshadows,and a heavy black eyeliner paired with white eyeliner on the bottom water line.
I think if I tone down the eyeliner wing big times,this look would be great for work.
On the other hand...it took me 20 minutes to get a perfect complexion.(Not to mention the amount of products :D)

I still like my white goth face,but since I am not a teen anymore I can't wear it 24/7 especially on those occasions where you want to look stunning in pictures.
And the white powder really flattens the face on picture.

My quickest dramatic eye make up ever (LOL)

Today was a very busy and stressful day,so there was no time at all for make up.And I needed dramatic make up....
I used my farmasi foundation stick and spread the product with a damp sponge,then I applied gel eyeliner on upper and lower waterline,set it with black eyeshadow and also lined the upper lashline.For the 'drama' I quickly smudged black eyeshadow over the liners and blended it.Mascara-and done!The lid looks a bit patchy due to the rather hectic brush movement,but that's okay :)
