DIY Goth Hair Accessory Bow

Hi dolls

I have quite a few small bow-clips for my hair,but since I wear a messy,puffy bun quite a lot,I thought I would make a bigger bow.
I used:
a piece of synthetic fabric ( a sleeve of a stretchy top to be correct)
needle thread
metal hair clip
glue
Little mesh with rhinestone

Because a lot of  hair accessories that are glued to the clip have  a tendency to fall off after some time,I thought I use some thread to secure it even more.
The fabric is quite fuzz-free because you just lightly burn the edges with a liter and it will melt into a perfect seam.
Just fold it,give it a few stitches and add the rhinestones in the middle.Glue the bow to the hair clip and secure it with a series of stitches.If you have a hot glue gun,you won't need to do that.

That was quite a spontaneous late night crafting session :d

Gray smokey eyes are such a fun and simple way to bring some serious drama in your make up.The color combo works for everybody,so it's always a safe choice.

Beijing Opera inspired make up : Mao Ben

Since my childhood I have been a huge fan of the Beijing Opera Masks.Each mask represents a certain type of person or characteristic.
Today's inspiration was Mao Ben's Mask http://www.paulnoll.com/China/Opera/opera-05-059.html Here you can see an example.

The look is just an inspirational version of the beautiful masks,because to make it authentic I should have painted my whole face.
But I believe that the opera masks in general are a great inspiration because the colors and shapes are just beyond beautiful.

Pink Purple elegant Gothic Makeup with eyeliner art

Today's look is one of my favorite eyeshadow combinations for a colorful Gothic eye make up.The play between purple,pink and black is quite exciting .Lately I am really into warm colors on the lower lashline to give my eyes that fashionably dead look.Looking dead without looking ugly XD The black waterline helps quite a lot on the 'not ugly' part.
To make that look even more dramatic I added demi lashes.

Step by Step Yellow smokey Goth-Eye Tutorial

Hi dollies

It's time for a tutorial again!This time it's a very bright yellow smokey eye,but of course you may use your favorite colors and of course you don't have to paint your eye area with funny dots and stripes,that's totally up to you.

This is the finished look :

Meow!

Prime your eyes and use a white eyeshadow base (jumbo pencil,cream eyeshadow,grease paint)

Apply white eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eyes and blend it out following the funny red dots

Apply yellow eyeshadow on the middle of your lid.Don't blend yet

Add black eyeshadow to the outer V and crease.

With a clean fluffy brush blend the yellow into the white.In a windshield wiper motion blend out the black following the arrow.

Apply white eyeshadow following the dots on the left side.On the right side you see how to smooth the edges of the black eyeshadow.

Tightline your top and bottom waterline.

With a small brush set the eyeliner with black eyeshadow and smudge it around the lower lash line

Line your eyes with liquid liner and smooth out the lower lashline eyeshadow with a tiny bit of yellow eyeshadow

Wing your eyes,apply mascara,draw on your brows!

And if you want,go crazy with your eyeliner!

Gothic Steam punk Nail art Rhinestone cross

Tomorrow it's the anniversary of a very special person's death,I am not able to go to the memory celebration,so I thought I would remember that special person my way.She was very religious,but she never said anything bad to me,she never judged or preached.
This person will always keep a special place in my heart,because she was the one who embraced that weird German Gothic Girl and she was very eager to teach me the Greek language.<3

I think a extravagant cross would be something she would enjoy.
Applying 110 rhinestones was quite a meditation process,but I put treasured memories into each rhinestone.
Before I get all emotional and mess up my make up,I should post the picture.

Purple theme

Hi dolls

Gaaaah! Purple theme event.I like the color purple,but a purple dress code is a no go.I made a compromise with the host: Purple mani,Purple make up and a purple ribbon.

And while taking the make up pictures the phone started ringing......XD  The result is a funny blooper picture while trying to look at the display of the phone :D

Kind of scaaaary

Tomorrow I will go in an all black outfit and make up to recover from that purple overload that awaits me.

Off to purple hell :)

Human Machine Cybergoth Make up (Help,Alien invasion)

Because the last look I uploaded was rather boring,I wanted to come up with something cool for today.The colors are resembling old metal and the eyeliner art is supposed to look like some alien-esque machine.
(Nooo I'm not high on LSD XD.....I had coffee and you know what coffee does to me)
To add some sort of elegance,I applied some demi-falsies.

Usually cybergoth make up is waaay brighter,I know that.But what if Aliens abduct a cybergoth to turn him into a machine???

Okay I should go and jog a bit to get my brain back to a non-hyper state.

DIY: Save that Black Sabbath Pin

I had this Black Sabbath pin for ages,it has a special place in my heart.That pin is a whole decade older than me.

Sadly the thingy that holds the safety pin broke off and so the pin became useless.I couldn't leave that pin in my jewelery box forever.
So I just cut off the cuff from an old gentleman's shirt,sewed around the edges ,sewed that pin on top of the cuff and e voila :) A cool wristband with my favorite pin.It took me like 10 minutes.

Mutet yet intense Gothic eye make up

This look is quite simple yet very intense and dramatic.The key to this look without any harsh lines is blending.
First you gotta line both waterlines with a gel eyeliner and immediately set the liner with black eyeshadow.Smudge and blend the liner with black eyeshadow.To finish it off blend the edges with white eyeshadow.

It took like 10 minutes to create this look.

Extravagant seductive Gothic Vampire make up [Request]

My dear reader Jasmine asked for a seductive vampire make up a la Michelle Phan.I personally liked the tutorial Michelle did,but yeah it wasn't Goth enough for my taste.It looked more like a sleep deprived Mall-Goth tutorial to me :D

So here is my version :
Muted purples to get that dead look around the eye,some reds to balance out the smokey black.The eyeliner art is smudgy because after sleeping 100 years in a coffin the make up will probably smudge and crease,right?

A lot of bright colors,glitter and a fun eyeliner art.I woke up very early because I was expecting workers to come,but they didn't show up.So I dedicated the time to this look.

Gothic Hair piece headband DIY

Well this is not really a DIY because I just ripped off a black feathered flower thing from a brooch and hot-glued it to a headband from the 1 Euro store.
It's waaaay prettier as a hair piece/headband than as a brooch.

Simple black smokey eye (Or the D in Darkness)

Hi dolls,

This make up is a statement,because we will have a very religious handy man coming to our house,who doesn't miss an opportunity to bust our nerves with his religious preaching.
I respect all religions,no question,but I also expect that religious people respect my non existing faith in god.
The last time he was here,he clearly overdid it.
So I am making a dark statement today:
-Leather skirt: Check
-Studded belt and spiked collar: Check
-Black eye make up : Check
-Black Sabbath T-shirt: Check
-Atheist Mindset : Check

Dramatic Gothic eye make up with neutrals

Hi dolls.

I was planning to upload the post yesterday,but after various paint jobs,a trip to Ikea and a crazy late night furniture building session,I just fell asleep on the sofa.
The look is done with neutral colors because I couldn't think of any color combo that early in the morning.
