How I eat my asparagus

Asparagus is such a fun and tasty thing to eat.
A lot of you asparagus fetishists will raise their eyebrows now,when I tell you how I like my asparagus.

Asparagus on a bed of potatoes and carrots with grandmas sauce *yuuuum*

You need
500-700 gr Asparagus
2 large potatoes(cut into big dice)
2 large carrots(sliced)
the juice of 1/2 lemon

24-40 gr Butter
2 tablespoons flour
200 ml milk

salt pepper nutmeg
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
garlic salt

Put your carrots,potatoes and asparagus in a pot,cover them with water and bring to a boil.
Once the water is boiling,add the lemon juice and season the water.Boil for 11-17 min.
Drain the veg and set aside.
In a small saucepan melt the butter and season with pepper garlic salt and nutmeg.
Whisk in 2 tablespoons of flour and stir constantly for 1 min.Now add the milk and keep stirring until the mixture has thickened.Add 1 tablespoons of parsley and set the sauce aside.
Take the asparagus out and put it aside.
Mix the carrots and potatoes with half of the sauce.On top of the carrot-potato bed,place the asparagus and pour some sauce over it.
Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon chopped parsley.
