Clarifying shampoo can be harsh and dehydrating for the scalp. There is a cheaper solution:
Mix 4 parts of your favorite every day shampoo with 1 part apple cider vinegar and the juice of 1/2 lime.Add a tiny dash of baking soda and stir well.
The DIY clarifying shampoo removes silicone residue, pollution and styling product left overs, that have built up and created a layer around the hair.
If you use styling products you should use clarifying shampoo once every week, because this built up layer prevents moisture to penetrate.
Make sure you condition your hair afterward.
Your hair will be able to absorb the moisture and caring ingredients from the conditioner 10 times better.
Hmmm...apple cider vinegar, lime, and baking soda! That sounds easy! Thanks for the tip!
