Wellington style wrapped beef ( Men food )

I adore Fillet Wellington.
I love Hell's Kitchen
Hell's Kitchen features Fillet Wellington or Lamb Wellington in every season.
Hubby fell in love with the dish except for the fact that he doesn't like Fillet and Mushrooms.
So I had to come up with something more suitable!
It is "men food" ....

You need :
350 gr minced beef
1 egg (separate white and yolk)
1 package phyllo (filo) pastry or puff pastry
2 tablespoons English Mustard
50 g melted butter
1 small tablespoon tomato puree
paprika,chili powder,dried oregano,pepper,salt
some olive oil
a good handful cheese of your choice (I used grated Mozzarella)

Ok let us start.
In a frying pan fry the minced meat in some olive oil and season well with the spices listed.Once the minced meat starts to get some color, add the tomato puree and stir well.Fry for 3 more minutes.

Remove all the excess oil by pouring the content of the pan on a baking tray lined with 3-4 layers of kitchen paper towels.
Put the mixture in a bowl and mix with the egg yolk and cheese.

Slightly dust your working space with some flour and spread the phyllo pastry.Place the minced meat in the middle and press it into a loaf shape. Now brush your first phyllo sheet with English mustard and wrap the sheets over the minced meat loaf.Beat the egg white with some water .Now you brush one phyllo sheet with egg wash and the next one with melted butter.Season occaisonaly and brush 6-7 phyllo sheets.
Wrap the ends and tuck them under the loaf and seal with lots of egg wash or water.

Transfer to an oven proof dish or baking tray lined with non stick paper.
With a skewer, poke some holes into the top and sites,so the steam can escape.
Bake at medium high temperature for 20-30 min (until the pastry is golden brown)

Slice and serve with french fries and a nice dip (Tzatziki for example)
The filling can be more creative of course. Some chopped bell peppers or some corn......yummy
Men will love it!
